CONTEMPORARY
This Foster City backyard had a lovely existing deck and arbor, but the oddly shaped patio and large shrubs made the space difficult to use. The newly designed landscape includes a contemporary patio with a “floating” bench where the parents can sit and relax while their kids play on the small lawn or in the cute playhouse.

I created this Ideabook for my clients to visualize all the hardscape elements in the conceptual design and help them hone the exact aesthetic they wanted. The plant selection was designed, per my client’s direction, to compliment the cool, modern hardscape elements with a “hot” and energetic color palette.
